Infinix Zero 5 In-depth Specifications

Design & Display

The Infinix Zero 5 comes with a metal unibody design like its predecessor, the Infinix Note 4. One would expect that a flagship smartphone that was launched towards the end of 2017 would come with a bezel-less design that was (and is still) trending at the time, but Infinix chose to go with a 16:9 aspect ratio on the Zero 5.

Infinix Zero 5 Display

The smartphone uses on-screen buttons for navigation, and the bottom bezel is unnecessarily large since it houses no components. The top bezel houses the selfie camera, its accompanying LED flash and the earpiece, while the rear has the dual cameras and dual LED flash in a module at the top, and the fingerprint sensor at the centre.

The Infinix Zero 5 comes in the phablet section with a 5.98-inch IPS display which has a Full HD (1,080 * 1,920) pixel resolution and 368 PPI pixel density. The display which is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is bright in both indoor and outdoor conditions with a 500 nits maximum brightness level. With a thickness of just 7.95 millimetres, the Zero 5 is one hell of a nice device to use.

Performance, Storage & Memory

The Infinix Zero 5 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757 CD) processor that can operate at high speeds up to 2.6GHz, and its graphics operations are handled by a Mali-T880 MP2 GPU with a max speed of 900MHz.

It comes with 6GB of RAM which makes multi-tasking a breeze for the device. It comes with 64GB of internal storage, and in case that’s not enough, you can insert a microSD card with a size of up to 128GB in its external microSD card slot for additional storage space.

Camera

The Infinix Zero 5 sports a dual camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary wide-angle lens and 13MP secondary telephoto lens at the rear. These have a 1.25um pixel size and come with 2X optical zoom which allows you to capture clear and detailed pictures of faraway objects. There’s also a dual LED flash to brighten things up in low-light conditions.

Infinix Zero 5 Camera

A 16-megapixel camera handles the business of taking selfies on the front of the Zero 5, and it’s assisted in low-light conditions with a LED flash.

Battery, Connectivity & Software

The Infinix Zero 5 packs a 4,350mAh battery that can last for more than a day on heavy use, and you don’t have to wait too long to get a full charge as it comes with Infinix’s Xcharge fast charging mechanism which charges the device form 0 to 100% in around two and a half hours.

Infinix Zero 5 Software UI

The Zero 5 supports 4G LTE networks, including Glo’s elusive 4G LTE band (Band 28). It comes with a USB Type-C port which offers increased charging and data transfer speed, and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with XOS 3.0 layered on top.
