A tri-bezeless phone – TECNO Mobile’s Next Big Thing?

A tri-bezeless phone – TECNO Mobile’s Next Big Thing?

A Bezeless Tecno Smartphone? Well, seem that’s what we’d be getting from TECNO in 2018.

Before I delve into anything serious, I’d first love to wish anyone (in fact, everyone) reading this a Happy New Year. You might as well wish me the same… in the comments. Would mean a lot😊

Now let’s get to it.

On New Year’s Eve, just like many other smartphone brands out there, Tecno Mobile welcomed her fans, users and followers to 2018 and wished them a Happy New Year. A beautiful gesture you’d agree. But while many saw a plain and concise New Year message, what our eagle-sharp eye picked up was a “tip”.

Let’s get our cleaver and slaughter this together.

Hi 2018!!! New Year, New View. Happy New Year!!! #HappyNewYear pic.twitter.com/NCjs1V1l2o

Attached to the above tweet is a smartphone equally split into two halves. The half on the left is a device (which looks pretty much like an iPhone) with wide bezels and the inscription “BYE 2017” on the display. To the left, a device with next to no bezels on the sides and an “HI 2018” inscription on the display.

“New View. New Year”

I could bet that this year, a bezeless tecno smartphone is coming. And from the above image, it is would most probably be a tri-bezeless one – which could have a screen-to-body ratio in the 80% region. This would definitely be a big one (a remarkable milestone) in Tecno Mobile’s history as the closest the OEM has gone is 75.1% on the recently released Phantom 8, 74.5% on the Phantom 6 Plus, and 74% on the Camon CX Air.

Recalling that dual rear camera, dual frontal camera, Face ID recognition and elimination of bezels were among the many waves that hit the smartphone scene in 2017, and that Tecno re-joined the ‘dual rear camera’ train that same year when it released its second dual camera smartphone (the Phantom 8) sometime in October, it is only normal for the brand to hastily adopt other trends to stay in vogue and above competitions. Reason why a bezeless tecno smartphone could be the next big thing for the African-focused smartphone manufacturer in 2018. In fact, it is even long overdue.

If Tecno Mobile eventually releases a tri-bezeless smartphone later this year 2018, it would make more sense if the smartphone giant (at least in Africa) give other features like Ingress Protection (IP) certification a try on their smartphones. Give users something they haven’t had from you before. Users are tired of mediocre specifications. Manufacture a Quad-camera smartphone, give us waterproof and dustproof smartphones, blow users away with unbelievable specs.

And though they may come at a price, the users are willing to pay! Right?😎

While we await Tecno’s Next BIG Thing, most likely a tri-bezeless smartphone as teased in the above new year tweet, Tecno Mobile could make use of the above tips in the previous paragraphs. Yes, for free😊
