Ulefone is gearing up for the release of the Ulefone Power 3S.
Probably due to the praises and feedbacks Ulefone got from its flagship Ulefone Power 3, the Chinese OEM went back to the drawing board and made some modifications to the Power 3. In coming weeks, we would get to have a full feel of what the new device is bringing to the table.
The Ulefone Power 3 launched with state-of-the-art features like 18:9 aspect ratio, a full-view 6.0-inch display with FHD+ resolution, 6GB RAM. Other prominent features include Face ID recognition unlock, Quad cameras and monster 6,080mAh battery with Fast Charge technology.
Ulefone Power 3S: What to expect
Design and Display? Same old, same old
The Ulefone Power 3S will have the same aspect ratio, design and aluminium alloy body as the Power 3. Likewise, positions of buttons and ports will remain the same.
The Power 3S display will also be covered by covered by a scratch-resistant 2.5D curved glass incorporated with the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 system of protection.
Under the hood, the soon-to-be-launched Ulefone Power 3S will feature the same System-on-Chip (the MediaTek Helio P23 SoC) as the Power 3 and the same Octa-core Cortex-A53 processor but with a reduced clock speed of 2.0GHz. Also, the RAM has been reduced from 6GB to 4GB but the 64GB internal memory will be very much intact.
The upcoming Power 3S will run the Android Oreo OS when upgraded via OTA download but comes out of the box with the Android Nougat v7.1 operating system. Asides the reduced processor frequency and RAM the changed OS is yet another modification.
The fourth and what seems to be the final known modification so far is the battery capacity. The Power 3 featured a monster battery, but the Power 3S will be coming with more! Going by available information, the Ulefone Power 3S will have a built-in Lithium Polymer battery of 6,350mAh capacity.
Like the Power 3, the Ulefone Power 3S will have four cameras and the Face ID recognition feature. The camera qualities weren’t modified or changed.
There are no specific details about pricing yet but it is speculated to be in the region of $170 to $180. Furthermore, the release date is early February (February 5, 2018, as obtained from this source).
The device could be released on or before the speculated date, or even after. However, you can submit an arrival notice on GearBest and when the device is launched and available, you will be notified and be among the first buyers to get the device at the best price.
