Is the Onda V80 SE Tablet PC a good buy at $89.99?

Is the Onda V80 SE Tablet PC a good buy at $89.99?

Onda is one of the numerous gadget manufacturers in the Chinese market, and it recently added a new device, the Onda V80 SE to its inventory of Tablet PCs. The Onda V80 SE is an 8-inch tablet that runs on the Android operating system, and like most gadgets from China, its selling point is its low price tag. Here’s why I think the Onda V80 SE is a good buy at just $89.99.

Crystal clear display

Onda V80 SE

The Onda V80 SE comes with an 8-inch display which is large enough as far as tablets are concerned; I mean, there are tablets with 7-inch screens out there. The spectacular thing about the display is that it has a resolution of 1080 * 1920 pixels, which is otherwise called Full HD.

Onda V80 SE Dimensions

This results in a pixel density of about 223 pixels per inch (ppi), and for a tablet this is great. If you’re coming from a high-end smartphone this might seem small, but for a tablet PC at this price, the Onda V80 SE stands high amongst its peers.

Enough memory and storage

The Onda V80 SE comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Again, while this might not be the benchmark when devices like this are considered, the V80 SE performs well at a price of $89.99. 2GB of RAM allows for efficient multitasking between apps, and 32GB of internal storage is ample for installation of apps and keeping large files. What’s more, you can add an additional 128GB with the use of an external microSD card.

Large Battery

For many, the decision to buy a Tablet PC stems from the need to carry out heavy and often screen-intensive work which will be otherwise strenuous on a smartphone. Therefore, a large battery capacity is desired in such devices so that work can be done over long hours without the need to plug it into a socket. The Onda V80 SE packs a 4200mAh battery that can last for up to a full day from 100%.
