Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset Review: The Good, the Bad and the Worthy

Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset Review: The Good, the Bad and the Worthy

If you’re looking for a new gaming headset, then I think it’s safe to say that the Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset is worthy of your consideration. Not only does this headset offer great sound and microphone quality for its price, $25, it also has some features like noise cancellation and comfortable ear padding for a more immersive experience while gaming.

Nubwo has a reputation for providing affordable quality products, which is why I was excited to review the N7 Gaming Headset. Reviewing it took me about 3 weeks and in this post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on whether or not this headset is worth the hype. In addition, I’ll be discussing the design, sound & microphone quality, specs/features, and pros & cons of buying this gaming headset.

So what are the pros and cons of buying this particular model?

ProsCons
Surprisingly good sound qualityWeak bass when compared to other gaming headsets
Comfortable ear paddingEar padding is not removable for cleaning
Immersive experience while gamingNo additional features like RGB lighting or surround sound
Quite affordable
The noise cancellation feature works well
pros & cons

Design & Build Quality

The design of the Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset is sleek and classy; the top of the headset features a polished metal railing while the earmuffs have rubberized plastic casing which doesn’t retain fingerprint. Weighing 399g, the headset is not too bulky so you can easily transport it without feeling weighed down or having to worry about breaking it in transit.

The ear cups which are made of soft leatherette padding are large enough to fit most ears, and even those with smaller ears will find that the headset won’t be too big for them. It is worth noting that the way it totally encases the ears leaves little to no room for air so your ears might get sweaty during a long period of use.

The band on the Nubwo N7 is ergonomically designed and will easily stretch to fit most head sizes. It’ll be comfortable even if you have a larger head, and I appreciate the fact that it doesn’t squeeze or feel tight around my head as the flexible band adjusts to ensure a comfortable fit.

The headset is lightweight, and I didn’t find it heavy on my neck or uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I didn’t experience much discomfort wearing it for extended periods, and my ears never felt hot even after several hours of use.

I was a bit disappointed that the earmuffs weren’t removable for cleaning purposes. If you’re going to be using this headset often, then it would have been better if Nubwo made them detachable because, in time, dirt and grime could accumulate around the foam area which will, in turn, cause an unpleasant smell when wearing the headset over time.

Sound & Microphone Quality

Another highlight of the Nubwo N7 is its sound quality. I was really impressed by how good it sounded considering that this headset only costs $25. Its dual 50mm drivers provide crisp sound quality, and it also has decent bass, which is not too overpowering and probably won’t blow out your eardrums when you turn up the volume to max.

Speaking about volume, I want to point out that this headset can reach very high volume levels without any distortion.

It has a volume wheel attached to its cord which allows the user to control the volume easily. While using the headset at its highest volume with my system on 20% volume, I could still hear sounds from the headset even after taking it off and holding it at a distance.

This headset has a flexible omnidirectional microphone that can be adjusted to suit your needs. The mic isn’t detachable but it can be adjusted to any position. For the best quality, I’d advise you position the mic just below your bottom lip to pick up your voice clearly. The mic has a breathing screen on it which ensures that even when you accidentally breathe into it the sound quality on the other side isn’t distorted.

The sound quality of the microphone is great; when I spoke through it, my voice came out loud, clear, and distinct. The noise-cancelling feature helps in reducing surrounding noises and blocking out unwanted sounds while recording for podcast or generally speaking with the microphone. With the Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset, you won’t need to get a separate microphone to record your podcasts— if that’s your thing.

Some gaming headsets around the price point of the Nubwo N7 have a problem with their mics being too quiet or muffled when transmitting sound so this factor alone makes the Nubwo N7 headset stand out from its competitors.

Features

The Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset has noise cancellation as one of its features for an immersive experience while playing games or listening to music.

Another great feature that this headset has is its volume control wheel. It’s really convenient and easy to use whenever I need to adjust the volume on the fly without having to stop what I’m doing or take out my phone from my pocket.

The Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset has a flexible omnidirectional microphone that can be adjusted to suit your needs.

There’s also a mute button for the microphone which helped me mute the mic quickly.

Since the microphone is located on one of the earcups, it does a great job at canceling out background noise.

It is also compatible with all mobile devices, Windows, Mac and major gaming consoles including Linux, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Finally, this headset has an affordable price tag. It costs $25 but still delivers high-quality sound unlike most gaming headsets in its range or even slightly above it.

In The Box

  • Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset
  • PC extension cable

  • User guide

Nubwo N7 Gaming Headset doesn’t come with many accessories. The only things that come bundled in the package are the headset itself, user guide, and PC extension cable. This is pretty common since most gaming headsets don’t come with an abundance of accessories. If the Nubwo N7 came with a carrying bag or pouch, I’m sure the price would have gone up considerably.

Totally Worth The Hype

I have to admit, I was very impressed with the Nubwo N7 Gaming He

adset. For only $25, it provides great sound and microphone quality for any gamer looking for a new headset without breaking the bank or sacrificing any core features. The earmuffs are also very comfortable which makes this headset perfect for long gaming sessions. Also, the noise cancellation feature works well at drowning out background noises.
