Ever since the inception of the iPhone X by Apple, so many budding smartphone brands (particularly Android phones) have displayed their usual habit of replicating designs made by the Big A.

You’d agree that the iPhone X’s design is one of the best in a smartphone, at least at the moment. Many want to have an experience of what/how the iPhone X feels like but aren’t ready to pay the $1,000 price.

It is in this light that M-HORSE is climbing on Apple’s greatness, and the vulnerability of people’s pocket to push it brand up the ladder of relevance. While this comes with its perks (being a smart business and marketing move), it likewise has its disadvantages.

Here is a summary of what the M-HORSE Pure 2 brings to the table:

  • Octa-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 CPU.

M-HORSE Pure 2

The M-Horse Pure 2 is a product of M-Horse, a budding OEM based in China. The M-Horse Pure 2 is a successor to the Pure 1 that was released in 2017.

The M-HORSE Pure 2 joins the flock of many other brands that have successfully replicated the design of the iPhone X either in part or in full. The device ships with a bezel-less FullView display sized at 5.99-inches and with an HD+ resolution. This would definitely produce nothing less than sharp and crystal clear text, images and colours.

Under the hood, the M-Horse uses the MediaTek 6750 SOC which has 8 Cortex-A53 cores that clocks up to 1.5GHz. The ARM Mali-T860 GPU is in charge of graphics and runs the Android Nougat v7.0 operating system.

On the rear, although not anywhere near the iPhone X in terms of quality, the dual cameras and LED flash are positioned to that of the iPhone X. The dual rear cameras are of 16-megapixels and 2-megapixels quality respectively. The selfie camera is likewise of high quality; 8-megapixels but can be beefed up to 13MP via software interpolation.

To keep the Pure 2 up and running, M-Horse embedded a 3,600mAh Lithium Polymer battery in the device. The battery cannot be detached, charges relatively fast (in 2 hours) and can give a talk time of 12 hours.
